INFORMATION CAPACITY BUILDING :
If you are interested in current affairs, development and
social change, and have a flair for information, media and
communication; if you are a creative, self-motivated, social
activist / professional, public spirited individual, you could
be the one we are looking for.
CED is engaged in documentation and non-academic research,
as well as in creative writing and publication of its compilations
and research on development and social issues.
It is currently collaborating in the setting up Reconstruction
for Development Centres, focusing on the rehabilitation and
the long-term development needs of communities in South India
affected by the tsunami of 2005. For this position the Project
Period is one year. Involvement with habitat issues and knowledge
of Tamil is an advantage.
CED is also looking for long-term involvement of people of
high caliber to coordinate its broader work relating to information
and social change in Bangalore and Bombay.
