Sub : Short Term Consultants for TISS/GOI Project

Tata Institute of Social Sciences is looking for three short term
consultants for immediate engagement for a Government of Indian project.
The consultant will be required to prepare 25 to 30 page report excluding
appendices and references on the three following areas:

(i) Review and analysis of policy framework, approaches, schemes and their
impact, organizations and their performance in the area of development of
Scheduled Tribes; review of current resource base for STs.

(ii) Review of micro-finance schemes and organizations in the government
nad NGO sectors in general and with special reference to Scheduled Tribes.

(iii) Review of National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development
Corporation - its mission, activities, organizational structure and
processes; current financial health of NSTFDC; current lending policies
and practices; etc

While the first two reports can be done on the basis of secondary sources
of information like internet and library work, the third assignment will
involve visit to NSTFDC at Delhi and extensive interaction with NSTFDC
officials. Hence Delhi based person for the third assignment will be
preferred. We need the write up in 2 to 3 weeks time. The scope of the
assignment and remuneration will be discussed with the selected
consultants.
